The Day of Ashura – The Ultimate Sacrifice
As dawn broke on the 10th of Muharram, 61 AH (680 CE), the plains of Karbala witnessed one of the most significant days in Islamic history. After spending the previous night in worship, prayer, and remembrance of Allah, Imam Husayn (RA) and his companions prepared themselves for what they knew would be their final test.

The Fajr Prayer

His bravery became one of the defining moments of Karbala.

The Tragic Loss of Hazrat Ali Asghar (RA)
One of the most heartbreaking moments of Karbala involved the infant son of Imam Husayn (RA), Hazrat Ali Asghar (RA).
According to many historical narrations, Imam Husayn (RA) appealed to the opposing army for water for his thirsty six-month-old child.
These reports state that instead of receiving water, the infant was struck by an arrow and embraced martyrdom
This event is remembered as one of the most tragic moments associated with Karbala.
Imam Husayn (RA) Remains Firm
As the day progressed, Imam Husayn (RA) witnessed the martyrdom of many members of his family and companions.
